T&Cs - Events (Exc. Weddings) - Effective 1st Aug 2025

To help ensure your event runs smoothly, please review the following Terms & Conditions. Any event contracts signed before 1st August 2025 remain subject to the version of the Terms & Conditions signed at the time of booking.

1. All agreements between ourselves (JP Discos Watford or JP Discos or We or I) and the Client (You) will be confirmed via our Client Area and/or email to ensure there is never any misunderstanding.

2. The agreement is set out between You and JP Discos Watford. JP Discos may use other contractors for any extra add-ons however, you are bound to the Terms & Conditions of JP Discos Watford.

Deposits & Payments

3. Your booking is only confirmed once:

  • A completed booking form has been submitted.
  • The non-refundable booking fee of 20% has been paid within 7 days of submission.
  • The contract has been signed in the Client Area.

4. Payments must be paid at least 28 days before the event start date. This can be paid via Bank Transfer or via Monthly Direct Debit split equally until 28 days before your event.

5. If the booking fee and signed contract are not received within 7 days of the initial booking form submission date, the date may be released and other enquiries may be accepted. You will be notified before this happens.

6. The fee quoted via email is final for the agreed times. There are no hidden charges, including VAT. Setup within 60 minutes of the start time is included. Prices in brochures are correct at the time of publication but may change without notice.

7. If you would like additional time on the night, this is possible however, this must first be agreed with the venue and be within their licensed hours. The cost is £50 per hour or part thereof. This must be paid before the additional time commences.

8. If you require me to set up more than 60 minutes before the agreed start time for an evening event (from 7pm), an early set-up fee of £50 will apply. Early set-up does not grant use of JP Discos’ PA equipment prior to the booked start time unless specifically agreed in writing as part of your package or if we need to access the venue earlier due to any extras you may have booked.

Venues

9. We (where applicable) will need access to the function room at least 60 minutes before the agreed start time. Other suppliers may need additional time and this will be communicated to you.

10. There must be no less than two standard UK Plug Sockets no further than 10 metres away from where I am performing from.

11. The client must ensure there is adequate supervision of guests at all times. I can recommend qualified door staff if needed, through a third party.

12. When the function has ended, we require a maximum of 60 minutes to pack away.

13. JP Discos will comply with all venue rules and instructions from venue staff, door staff, and authorities. If your or your guests’ actions cause an early finish or venue closure, no refund, goodwill gesture, or compensation will be due.

14. Venue licensing rules will be adhered to by JP Discos. Please do not expect these to be broken.

Cancellations

15. If for any unfortunate reason that you need to cancel, this must be done in writing via email to jack@jp-discos.co.uk

16. If you are cancelling over 30 days before the event start date, we will retain the booking fee. Any other fees you have paid will be refunded. If you have paid your balance and you cancel less than 30 days before the event starts, then you will not be entitled to any refund.

General Terms

17. JP Discos accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, injury, or accident to clients, their guests, or their property, howsoever caused, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

18. JP Discos will not be liable for failure to attend or late arrival caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, road closures, traffic accidents, vehicle breakdowns, fuel shortages, terrorism, industrial action, venue access restrictions or closures, or other unavoidable acts of nature or force majeure.

19. If JP Discos or a third party fail to attend due to any reason above, we cannot be held liable for any costs or compensation towards any other third-party suppliers from non-use or matters alike.

20. Public Liability Insurance and Portable Appliance Testing certificates will be available for you to download when the event has been confirmed.

21. Any music you want playing must be requested beforehand. This can be done by either using the playlist feature in the Client Area or via email. We may not be able to fulfil all requests of music made on the day.

22. All prices are correct at the time of publication but are subject to change without notice.
